Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has signed a new contract with his club, Udinese.

Okoye has committed to a four-year deal that will keep him at the club until June 2028, and in a sense establish himself as the Club’s undisputed first choice.

The Nigerian has been outstanding since joining from Watford last summer.

Despite a difficult start, Okoye secured the number one spot in the second half of last season and played a vital role in Udinese’s Serie A safety.

With just 22 league appearances for the Zebras, he was linked with moves to Inter Milan and Juventus, but Udinese quickly secured his future with this new contract.

He continued his impressive form as Udinese kicked off their 2024-2025 Serie A campaign with a draw against Bologna on Sunday.
