Uchenna Kanu is on the verge of winning her first silverware with Sevilla following Las Rojiblancas 3-0 trouncing of Madrid CFF in Copa de la Reina on Wednesday to punch a semi-final ticket in the competition.
Kanu was up against her Super Falcons teammate Rita Chikwelu, both players started in the game for their respective sides at the encounter at the Avenida Matapiñonera, San Sebastián de los Reyes.
Both players recently joined the growing number of Nigerian players in Spain’s Women’s Primera División.
While Kanu yet to break her goalscoring duck since moving to Spain, Chikwelu has netted four times in her six league appearances for Madrid CFF.
On Wednesday, goal scoring duties for Cristian Toro’s side fell to Maria Teresa Albarran Jimenez (7′), Nadezhda Karpova (73′) and Isabella Echeverri (88′).

The semi-final draw will hold to decide which sides will be paired in a single leg decider.
Next Month, March 18 the semi-final ties will be played. The final date has been set for May 31.
