Luton Town manager, Rob Edwards has expressed his delight after completing the signing of former Nigeria international, Victor Moses.

The 33 year-old winger joined the Hatters on a free transfer, following his departure from Russian side Spartak Moscow at the end of last season.

Moses, who had trained with Luton last week and featured in a behind-closed-doors match, impressed the coaching staff enough to secure a deal.

Edwards spoke highly of the versatile player’s potential impact on the team.

“Victor is someone we’ve been talking to for quite a while. He trained with us last week and played 60 minutes in a behind-closed-doors game.

“We made a decision because we believe he can come in and help us,” Edwards said in a statement on the club’s official website.

The former Chelsea and Liverpool player brings a wealth of experience, having spent the majority of his career in England with stints at Wigan Athletic, West Ham United, and Stoke City. Moses also had a successful spell in Italy with Inter Milan.

“I don’t want to put too much pressure on him. He’s not going to come in and start games straight away. He’s got to get used to what we do and how we play, but he’s fit and ready to make an impact,” the manager added.

The coach concluded that Moses’ tactical awareness and ability to play in multiple positions will provide the team with added depth as they aim to regain immediate promotion back to the premier league.
