Luis Suarez: Barca will overpower Chelsea at Camp Nou

Barcelona’s Luis Suarez has claimed that his side will benefit from more space to trounce Chelsea at the Camp Nou.

The former Liverpool striker has insisted that the equalizing goal against the Blues will give the Blaugrana’s ‘more space to play’.

And that is in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie come March 14.

The reigning Premier League champions played out a draw with Barca in their Champions League last 16 first leg tie.

Meanwhile, the Blaugrana were in total control of possession all through the 90 minutes of the clash.

Despite the dominance of the La Liga giants, though, it was the West London side who looked most like scoring.

And that was the case with Willian hitting both posts in the first 45 minutes of the Champions League encounter.

After which the Brazilian international finally went on to hit the back of the net for Chelsea after the interval.

However, Barca talisman, Lionel Messi went ahead to finally end his drought against Chelsea by netting an important away goal.

“It was a beneficial goal for the second leg to have more space at the Camp Nou.

“Our strength is being better at home and that is why it was important to score today.

“Now, they have to try to score at the Camp Nou and we will have more space,” Suarez summed up.

With the result, Chelsea are yet to suffer defeat in any of their last eight meetings with the Catalan outfit.

The return leg of their Champions League last 16 tie is set to take place on Wednesday, March 14.
