Super Eagles and Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman has been ranked 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
Lookman, the only African on this year’s shortlist, was announced as 14th during the award ceremony on Monday.
The 27-year-old delivered outstanding performances for both club and country, winning the Europa League with Atalanta and reaching the AFCON final with Nigeria.
The former Everton forward was ranked higher than Arsenal and England star Bukayo Saka, Chelsea’s rising talent Cole Palmer, and Spain’s promising young player Nico Williams.

However, he fell short of matching Victor Osimhen’s 8th-place finish from last year.
Lookman is now a strong favorite to win the CAF African Footballer of the Year award in December.
