Ademola Lookman will miss Atalanta’s League clash against Fiorentina later today, coach Gian Piero Gasperini has confirmed.
The Atalanta boss revealed that Lookman was injured and won’t be available for the crunch game.
Lookman has been one of Atalanta’s arrow heads, in attack, this season, netting fourteen goal, and recording five assists.
“There is no news compared to yesterday, let’s see with Pasalic if he will recover, Koopmeiners is better, he trained better.
“Lookman stopped by, it doesn’t seem like a big deal, but he won’t be there on Monday,” the veteran tactician said.
Lookman’s absence against La Viola could be a blow to Atalanta’s chances of picking the maximum points and their hope of European football next season.
Atalanta are sixth in the Serie A, and are still in the race for the UEFA Champions League qualification.
