Super Eagles and Atalanta star Ademola Lookman has crowned his fantastic week by being named in the UEFA Europa League Team of the Season and winning Goal of the Season.

Lookman had an outstanding performance against Bayer Leverkusen, becoming only the third Nigerian to score in a Europa League final and the first African to score a hat-trick in a major UEFA competition final.

The Europa League Best XI, selected by the UEFA Technical Observer panel, included Lookman alongside his teammates Granit Xhaka and Jeremie Frimpong.

The 26-year-old’s impressive performance earned him Player of the Week honours.

One of his goals was also chosen as the Goal of the Season, further cementing his place in the Europa League Team of the Season.

With the Super Eagles playing their qualifiers next month, Lookman has been called up by new coach Finidi George as Nigeria prepares to qualify for the World Cup.
