Ademola Lookman’s wait for a first goal this season continued as Atalanta were held to a goalless draw by Lazio in their Serie A clash.
The forward played 82 minutes and had a mixed outing, showing effort but lacking end product in the final third.
Lookman had one clear opportunity to break the deadlock in the 50th minute, heading wide from a precise cross by Charles De Ketelaere.
He completed just one of four attempted dribbles, made 19 passes, created one big chance, and delivered two accurate crosses into the box.

Defensively, Lookman contributed with two tackles, one interception, four ball recoveries, and won three ground duels demonstrating his work rate off the ball.
However, his goal drought now stretches to seven games for both club and country.
Despite the result and Lookman’s struggles in front of goal, Atalanta head coach Ivan Juric remained positive about the winger’s contribution.

“I thought Ademola made the right moves and created a few chances,” Juric said after the match.
“We also saw the real Ederson today, and this means we can look to the future with confidence. I think the team should continue like this. We have ideas and good football we are just missing the end product, the goals.”
Atalanta currently sit eighth in Serie A with two wins and two draws from their first seven matches.
The Bergamo side are five points behind league leaders AC Milan and four points behind the UEFA Champions League qualification spots.
