Lobi Stars coach Gbenga Ogunbote has disclosed that the playoff option to end the League as been touted by the LMC is unfair to clubs who have played fewer games all season.
LMC spoke through the Chairman on Monday that of the four options to conclude the season being considered, a play-off of the top six teams to decide the champions and continental representatives appears the most likely format to be adopted.
In his own reaction, Ogunbote said some clubs with fewer games played this season will see the option as cheating.
“Some teams have already played 25 games while others have played 24 and we have Enyimba who have played just 20 games because of their continental engagements.”
“Playoff will be very unfair to these teams,’ says the former Rangers boss.
