French Ligue 1 side Lille are closing in on a transfer for Nigerian prodigy Gift Orban, according to reports.
According to Foot Mercato, Lille are now a few details away from reaching agreement with his Orban’s club KAA Gent.
French Ligue 1 side Lille see the forward as a replacement for striker Jonathan David, who is set to leave the club this summer.
David was exceptional for Lille last season and move out of France has been agreed which will allow Orban to move to Lille.
Orban joined Genk in last January and produced an astonishing campaign, netting impressive 24 goals in all competitions.
The 20-year-old was voted fourth best African player in Belgium last season despite being in the league only for six months.
He guided the Buffalos to Europa League place.
