Robo Queens chairman, Emmanuel Osahon has called on the Nigeria Football Federation to allow interim Super Falcons coach, Justin Madugu to manage the team freely, just as he did during the Olympic qualifiers.
Osahon is confident in Madugu’s ability and urged the federation to support him fully.
“Let him handle the team the way he handled it during the qualifiers. Every technocrat that supported him should continue supporting him the same way.”
“That is my own take. If you don’t have respect for any Nigerian coach, any indigenous coach, good, they will not have [respect]. But I know he will get results. By the grace of God, he will get results because he will do a lot of good work.”
“He will give home-based players in the top-flight league in Nigeria something to play for. He will also give polytechnic-based players something to play for. What do I mean? You have to be at your peak in your club, not at a secondary school or university level.”
“You have to perform abroad to be called home. Go and check this list. You will not be called a good player or a bad player.
“Nigerians are usually good players. He will not put players on the team just because they are known; he will make selections based on performance.”
