Lesotho boss Senong admits Osimhen and Aribo are Nigeria’s main threat

Lesotho national team coach Thabo Senong has identified the duo of  Victor Osimhen and Joe Aribo as Super Eagles’ most dangerous players as his team braces up for Sunday’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria.

The Crocodiles will square up against Nigeria in the second Group L game of the AFCON qualifiers at Maseru on Sunday. Kick-off time is 5 pm.

Thabo Senong’s men began their 2021 AFCON qualifiers campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Serria Leone on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles defeated Benin 2-1 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on the same day with Osimhen among the goalscorers while Aribo played a crucial role in the victory.

The former South Africa U20 coach is aware of the qualities of the two Nigerian players and he has however warned his team to be wary of them.

“Nigeria has very strong and skillful players.”

“Osimhen and Aribo have done well at their clubs. Everyone knows that they are very dangerous. We have to put an eye on them.”

Nigeria currently tops Group L with three points after the victory against Benin, while the Crocodiles have registered just a point thus far.
