Leon Balogun expressed his gratitude at securing yet another trophy with Scottish Premiership powerhouse, Rangers.
The centre-back played a pivotal role as Rangers clinched a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Aberdeen at Hampden Park on Sunday, securing their 28th Scottish League Cup title.
This marks Balogun’s third silverware achievement with the Gers, adding to his previous successes in claiming the Scottish Premiership title and the FA Cup during his initial tenure at the Ibrox Stadium.
The former Wigan and Mainz 05 player acknowledged the privilege of contributing to Rangers’ ongoing legacy of success.
“When I left the first time, for me, it is the most special time I had in my career and that will never change,” he told Rangers TV.
“It is a privilege for me to be here at this stage of my career and to be winning silverware again.
“The fans are second to none, I have played in some big stadiums, but they are great.
“It is great to see the reaction from the fans. I am very happy and content.”
Balogun recently rejoined Rangers during last summer window.
