Enzo Maresca, is optimistic about Wilfred Ndidi’s return to the field following the international break.
Ndidi, out for three weeks due to a muscle injury, last played in Leicester City’s 3-1 victory against Swansea City on October 21.
Unfortunately, this injury wil sideline the midfielder for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
Maresca stated that Ndidi is nearing a return to action.
“[Ndidi and Yunus] are still out. Hopefully, we can have both after the international break,” the Italian told a press conference on Friday.
Ndidi who is in entering the final year of his contract at the club has been in scintillating form this season.
The 26-year-old has contributed a goal and three assists in twelve games in the championships.
He also has two goals and a assist in three Carabao Cup matches.
