Algerian star, Riyad Mahrez will not be allowed to down tools while he is with Leicester City.
The club’s players have made the £50m winger, who wants to leave the Foxes, well aware of the consequences should he not give his all, according to midfielder Andy King.
‘Riyad is aware as anyone that if no one comes in then he is a Leicester City player,’ said King.
‘The boys have been saying that to him. We are a tight-knit group and we work hard.
‘A lot of us have been together now for a long period of time and we are not going to let anyone go and down tools and think that is alright.
‘He knows the way we work and if he isn’t going to put it in for the team then he will get dug out.’
King’s comments may surprise onlookers, given Leicester’s decline last season under Claudio Ranieri and subsequent revival under current manager Craig Shakespeare.
