Maresca Hails Liverpool and Bayern Munich Target

Leicester City manager, Enzo Maresca is happy with Wilfred Ndidi’s performance against Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday.

Despite being introduced in the first half, Ndidi stole the show at Prenton park, contributing a goal and an assist as Leicester advanced to third round.

The Midfielder gave Leicester City the lead with a fine finish from acute angle.

He then turned from from scorer to provider, picking out Jamie Vardy, who made no mistake from close range.

The win means that Leicester’s record-breaking start to the new season continues – never before had started a campaign with six wins.

“It’s never easy to win a game,” Manager Enzo Maresca said.

“I’m happy with the result and the performance. We have many things we have to improve, but that’s normal. I’m happy for Wilfred. I’m especially happy with the second goal that we scored because the assist was good.

“The next game (vs. Hull City) is important and then we’re into the international break. It’s a big game at home with our fans. It won’t be easy but with our fans there to support us, it’ll be good.”

Leicester City will discover their next opponents in the competition in Wednesday evening’s third-round draw.
