Leeds United are keeping close tab on Middlesbrough striker Chuba Akpom, according to reports in England.
Akpom has attracted interest from Southampton, Everton, West Ham United and Crystal Palace, but it is understood that Leeds United have now joined the race for the Striker’s signature.
The Whites are lacking firepower in the attack, scoring just seven times in twelve Premier League games since December.
According to the reports, Leeds want to bring the Forward to Elland Road should they remain in the Premier League and Boro miss out on promotion.
Leeds will also consider the possibility of signing on free transfer as Akpom, 27, is closer to the end of his deal at the Riverside.
He has scored 21 in 28 Championship games for Michael Carrick’s side this season.
