Cremonese’s wait for a first Serie A victory has been further delayed following the side’s 2-1 defeat at home to Inter Milan on Saturday.
Inter fought from behind, a Lautaro Martinez brace securing a comeback win for the visitors at the Stadio Giovanni Zini.
As have been for the better part of the new year, Cremonese started off well, their Nigerian forward, David Okereke put them ahead in the 11th minute.
Okereke stunned Inter with a brilliant finish for his fifth goal in the league.
However, it wasn’t long after his goal, Martinez levelled up the score (21′) before completing the comeback with his second of the game on fifty-six minutes.
Cyriel Dessers made a return to the team, coming off the bench in the second half, after missing back to back games with an injury.
The defeat leaves Cremonese rooted to the base of the Serie A standings after 20 round of matches.
