Ex Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has queried Chelsea interim boss, Frank Lampard over N’golo Kante’s role.
Kante, 30, has been short of his usual high standards this season, with his position – playing as the furthest forward of Chelsea’s three central midfielders – criticized by fans.
He came under fire again for his performance in Tuesday’s disappointing 3-1 defeat against London rivals Arsenal, at the Emirates.
The French man was largely anonymous all through game, while his former teammate Jorginho was pulling the string for the Gunners.
Kante’s current situation is very similar to role under Maurizio Sarri and Oliseh believes it’s an experiment that’s not working.
He then called for the French star to be returned to his tradition role and position.
Oliseh tweeted after the game:
Arsenal on fire Vs Chelsea! I am totally dumbfounded by Chelsea & most especially how on earth it is possible, for N’golo Kante, who has won virtually everything with Chelsea and France as the greatest defensive midfielder of his generation, is continually played out of position.

On Tuesday, a Martin Odegaard first-half brace (18′, 31′) and Gabriel Jesus’ goal (34′) saw Arsenal return to the top of the pile in the Premier League.
