Ex-Nigeria International Kennedy Boboye has left his role as coach of Plateau United following the expiration of his two-year contract.
The former Abia Warriors and Sunshine Stars trainer made history in his first year with the Jos club by guiding them to a first-ever NPFL championship.
However, Plateau United failed to qualify for the group stage of both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup this year under the tactician.
The Jos-based club side have lost several top stars this past season, also failed to go past the group stage of this year’s Aiteo Cup after they were upstaged by Katsina United.
Boboye has been appointed as one of the coaches for the Nigeria U23 National team.
