Super Eagles Midfielder Kelechi Nwakali has joined Spanish second division side SD Ponferradina.

Nwakali penned a two-year contract with the new Blue and White, and will continue his career in Segunda LaLiga.

The Midfielder became free agent three months after fallen out with his previous team SD Huesca.

He played 19 league games and 2 Copa del Rey games for Huesca, before his contract was terminated.

The 22 year-old was linked Swiss side FC Zurich, but talks fell through as both parties failed to reach agreement on personal terms.
