Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho is poised to join La Liga club Sevilla, according to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg.

The former UEFA Europa League champions have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with the 27-year-old.

Iheanacho is scheduled to undergo medical examinations next week.

Sevilla sought out Iheanacho following the sale of Moroccan forward Youssef El Nesyri to Turkish side Fenerbahçe.

The striker will join Sevilla on a free transfer, having left Leicester City last month after his contract expired.

Iheanacho spent seven years at Leicester, where he won the English FA Cup, Community Shield, and Championship.
