Leicester City’s Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, has successfully recovered from an illness that kept him sidelined for nearly two weeks.
The prolific attacker, who missed the team’s previous two matches, made a return to training last weekend and was in the squad that defeated Birmingham City on Monday.
Despite being declared fit, Iheanacho was named among the substitutes as Coach Enzo Maresca kept faith with Zambian striker Patson Daka in the attack.
In Iheanacho’s absence, Daka, having started last two outings against Plymouth and Millwall and scored in both game.
Iheanacho’s availability adds depth to Leicester City’s attacking options and the former Manchester City striker could potentially make his comeback on the pitch when Leicester hosts Rotherham United this Saturday.
