Kelechi Iheanacho is not developing as fast as he should because he’s played out of position by coaches Brila Media Chairman, Dr. Larry Izamoje has suggested.
Kelechi Iheanacho, 21, is deployed as a Center forward, but his true strength lies in his creative ability Dr. Izamoje quipped.
‘These days the game calls for some strength if you want to play the lone striker.
‘Iheanacho does not have that steel, he’s not a hustler. He’s better with the ball on the leg. He’s doesn’t use pace and space but he’s the kind that can destroy you by giving other players pace and space.’
‘This boy is not developing as fast as he should. A player praised by FIFA should not be in the pecking order so low at Leicester. He has to save himself.’
Following his transfer from Manchester City to Leicester, the forward has failed to settle in.
Dr. Izamoje said perhaps the youngster “cannot speak out” about Coaches playing him out of position and that he needs work harder.
‘His passes can kill but these coaches are making him play the game he did not grow up playing. Go back to the tape of his game in under 17. The boy can not speak out, so some people must do so for him,’
‘He’s not naturally gifted for the role that these coaches are playing him in. He could have become our playmaker in the Eagles but our Coaches deploy him same as his European coaches do.’
