Kano Pillars forward Nyima Nwangwa has stated that the league runner’s up want to end the season on a high and to this end will be out hard in the final to ensure they try to end a successful season with a trophy after the team secured a back to back final ticket in the final of the Federation Cup.
Nwangwa whose side lost the cup final last season to Enugu Rangers in a bizarre circumstance throwing away a 3-0 lead told brila.net that Pillars want to ensure they get things right this time around by winning the trophy for the fans to cap a successful season that had yielded a CAF champions league return already having finished second in the league.
“It’s going to be a way to say thank you to our fans for their support and everything, after all, we went through with them last year in the Federation cup final as well as this year losing the league title by a point.
“And for the fact that our opponent has gotten this far, I don’t think it’s a side we can underrate, because for them to have gotten to this final, we have to come out and work hard.”
