Kano Pillars Handball Coach, Solomon Yola said his team are ready to stay on top of the league standings and finish the race of the second phase of the Handball league as winners as the League draws wraps up tomorrow, also admitting that the club’s success was down to great support from the state government.
Ahead of the last game of the league against Civil defence handball club, in a chat with www.brila.net Coach Yola stated that the team is resolved to get the trophy ” With the players I have some play in the national team as well we will maintain the tempo and hopefully take home the trophy.
We have spoken to the boys, we are well focused and we’ve got enough time to recover before our last game tomorrow, we have the support of the fans. “
He also revealed that the second phase of the handball league was tougher than the first phase in Abuja earlier in the year and believes it has helped to increase the development of handball in Nigeria.
“The league is not easy, Every team has been tough so far in the competition,also officiating, organisation, everything as been good in this second edition of the handball league.”
