Kano Pillars could face charges following claims that a top official of the club assaulted a match official, during their rescheduled match against Dakkada on Thursday.
The Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 31 rescheduled fixture was full of controversies, with the relegated threatened Pillars at the middle of everything.
Pillars were ahead with a goal with a few minutes left to play before Dakkada FC equalized.
The Kano Pillars’ top official, then ran to the touchline and punched the assistant referee, Mr. Daramola, from Ekiti State.
The goal, however, was later chalked off after the Center Referee consulted with the assistant referee.
Everything that transpired in that game could be investigated by the League Management Company (LMC) and NFF – should appropriate decisions be taken, Pillars could be bigger trouble in the quest to beat relegation.
Recalled in April, the LMC deducted 3 points from Pillars accrued points due to violence against Katsina Utd.
The Sai Masu Gida also had an additional suspended 3 points deduction in the event of any further similar breach.
Pillars are currently 15th on the log, two points above Dakkada in 18th place.
