Kano Pillars coach Lionel Soccoia blamed his side’s elimination from season’s CAF Confederation Cup on bad officiating.
Pillars waved goodbye to the tournament on Saturday following a 3 – 1 on aggregate defeat to Senegalese side AS Jafaar.
The first leg ended 3 – 1 in favor of Jafaar last week, while the return fixture played at Ahmad Bello stadium finished in a goalless draw.
Speaking after the match, Emmanuel Lionel Soccia said the officiating over the two legs cost his side the game.
“The game was successful. Though in the first game poor officiating from two offside goals against us. We deserved two penalties in today’s game and were denied.
“The officiating was bad. If you have a good referee, the game would have been good,” he declared.
Soccoia also described their opponents, As Jafaar as a very big side in Africa.
