Kano Pillars Announce Termination of Paul Offor’s Contract

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Kano Pillars, have parted ways with head coach Paul Offor.

Offor, who was unveiled as the club’s new manager in July 2024 on a two-year deal, replaced Abdul Maikaba.

However, in a surprising turn of events, the 35 year-old former Sporting Lagos manager has been sacked without leading the team in a single match.

A statement from the club reads: “Kano Pillars Football Club announces the mutual termination of the contract with its Technical Adviser, Paul Offor. The decision was made in good faith and with mutual consent, underscoring a shared understanding between both parties.”

As Kano Pillars FC looks ahead, the club is set to appoint a new Technical Adviser to lead the team in the upcoming 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League season, according to the statement.

The announcement was made by the Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar, through the club’s Media Directorate.

Paul Offor had joined the club under the previous board, which was dissolved by the state government after the expiration of their interim period.
