Nigeria forward, Joy Omega came through and delivered the winning goal in Fortuna Hjorring’s 2-0 victory over Nordsjaelland in the Danish women’s top league.

Omewa sealed the win for her team in the 72nd minute to ensure her team remains in the title race.

She featured for the full 90 minutes, doubling the lead before she was substituted late.

Fortuna Hjorring in the 7th minute of the game scored the first and only goal in the first half.

Fortuna Hjorring now sits second on the league table with 16 points from six games, edging Nordsjaelland by just one point.

They will next face third-placed Koge on September 28, 2024.
