Joshua hails MFM fans for their support in comeback win over Pillars

MFM FC player, Akpudje Joshua has described as inspirational their win against Northern based league giant, Kano Pillars yesterday after suffering a devastating loss to Enyimba at the Soccer Temple.

In what was the comeback of the NPFL Matchday 19 fixtures, MFM FC came from a goal down to end Pillars 11-game unbeaten run to the surprise of many fans who thought the worse after the visitors drew first blood thanks to 36th minute own goal from MFM keeper, Folarin Abayomi.

 

However hope was restored as the host fought back with Kabir Adeniji getting his 4th goal of the season in the 52nd minute, before Ogwu Clement sealed the win with a brace in the 65th and 81st minute on arrival from the bench.

 

The MFM FC defender in a tweet hailed the fans for their support, ” After the Enyimba slump, we were probably not given a chance against Kano pillars FC, We went a goal down, but picked ourselves up to turn it around and come out 3-1 victors.Thanks to the fans for the love, you guys are the F in fans.”

 

The Olukoya Boys are currently 8th, avoiding a slip down into relegation zone securing their 1st win in 5 games to the delight of the fans.
