Former Super Eagles manager, Jose Peseiro has been shortlisted for the 2024 International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) Men’s Coach of the Year award.
The Portuguese tactician, who led Nigeria to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final, is recognized among global coaching elites.
Previously at the helm of the Saudi Arabian national team, Peseiro was recently overlooked for the CAF Men’s Coach of the Year award, despite his recent achievements with the Super Eagles.
Meanwhile, Nigerian forwards Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman have both been nominated for the IFFHS Men’s World Best Player award.
The Super Eagles duo are among 30 top players contending for the prestigious honor, highlighting their outstanding form at both the club and international levels.
Lookman recently finish 14th-place in the 2024 Ballon d’Or rankings and he’s a strong contender for the CAF Player of the Year award.
