Super Eagles head Coach, Jose Peseiro refused to comment on his future, stating that he’s only focused on the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Sierra Leone.

Peseiro’s contract with the Nigeria Football Federation expired in June, but nothing has been said regarding new deal.

“My future with the Super Eagles is to train today, tomorrow and prepare for the Sierra Leone game, beat them and qualify for AFCON,” He said when asked to comment on his contract situation.

The Super Eagles team is camped in Lagis and held their first practice session on Monday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena ahead of this weekend’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations clash against Sierra Leone.

20 players took part in the training session, with Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze and Bright Osayi-Samuel expected to join.

The game will hold at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia on Sunday.
