Former Super Eagles striker, Jonathan Akpoborie has said the football administrators in the Country have not invested correctly in the development of the sport over the years, hence the challenges with sustaining growth.
Akpoborie said the challenges experienced, particularly in the age grade teams spurns from a lack of developmental policies and misappropriation of funds.

Nigeria was knocked out of the race to reach teh 2017 CAF U17 Afcon and will also miss out on the U20 Afcon.
The 1985 FIFA U16 World Cup winner maintains that the country’s absence from the tournaments are a damning verdict on the football authorities.
The 48-year-old represented in the junior cadre and earned 13 senior caps with the Super Eagles.
