Nigerian forward, Joel Yakubu has officially completed a move to Czech Republic Premier League club Slovan Liberec from Mahanaim FC.
The 18-year-old signed a three-year contract after successfully passing his medical.
Yakubu has already made an impact at the club, having featured in a match and scoring a goal in his debut.
Slovan Liberec’s head coach, Jakub Harant expressed his satisfaction with the youngster’s performance.
“At his age, he could start in the U19 category, but he stepped up straight into the match. I’m glad he scored right away, showcasing a typical move for him,” said Coach Harant. ”
“He showed quick ball control, good game awareness, and calmness in finishing. We believe he will continue to improve and play an increasingly important role in the team,” He concluded.
