Former Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham players who retired from professional football in November has taken on his next mission after breaking records in football, he has taken up another challenge in a new sport- kayaking, not for personal gains but for charity.

From playing in France, America and even League One Joe Cole has never been afraid of a challenge and now the former England international having crossed the English Channel before, when he had a loan spell at Ligue 1 side Lille though not with a kayak boat, Cole is now planning on kayaking across it for charity in May.

Joe Cole is excited about crossing the 21-mile waters in the Kayaking Channel challenge, he says ‘Not sure what we’ve got ourselves into but we will be raising vital funds for two amazing causes which are very close to our hearts.”
