Joe Aribo was booked but he played all 90 minutes as Rangers fell short in the hunt for a silverware this season when they battled Celtic in the final of the Scottish League Cup.
Alfredo Morelos missed a 64th minute penalty to level up after Celtic took the lead on the hour mark following a goalless first half.
Rangers were awarded a penalty after Jeremie Frimpong fouled an opponent and was shown a straight red, but Steven Gerrard’s men couldn’t break their Old Firm rivals despite the advantage.

Neil Lennon’s side secured their 19th League Cup and third consecutive for Celtic.
The Gers will now turn their attention to the League and Europa League – where they remain in contention.
