Iwobi hails Everton’s resilience after hard fought draw against Spurs

Super Eagles Midfielder Alex Iwobi believes Everton showed character following their 1-1 against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.

Iwobi was in action as the Toffees battled their way back to snatched a point with few minutes to the end of the game.

Harry Kane put Tottenham in firm control of the tie from second half penalty after Michael Keane was adjudged to have commited a foul in the box.

Everton however levelled the parity late on, despite playing almost the entire second half with 10 men.

Michael Keane who gave away the penalty unleashed a thunderous effort from outside of the box.

Iwobi took to social media to applauded his team’s performance.

“Character,” the Nigeria international tweeted after the game.

The win moved Everton out of the bottom three in the table.
