Alex Iwobi put in an average performance as Everton suffered yet another defeat in the hand of Bournemouth in Sunday’s English premier league league clash.
Iwobi was handed a starting shirt by Manager Marco Silva at the Vitality Stadium, but it was the Cherries who took advantage of the visitors defensive mistakes to secured 3-1 win.
The defeat is a big set back for the Merseyside top six ambition who are currently eleventh on the log with seven points from five matches.
Iwobi played the entire minutes of the game for the Toffees, but failed to get on the score sheet, with Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser scoring for the Eddie Howe’s men, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin got Everton’s consolation goal.
“It was not a good day for us, not a good result. It’s one we can learn from.
“When you make mistakes like we did today in the Premier League away from home, it’s difficult to win. We controlled the game in some periods, created some chances but we gave so many things that were easy for them.
“We must learn fast as we need to win football games away from home.” Silva said .
Everton have conceded seven goals across their last three league games and host Sheffield United on Saturday.
