Super Eagles goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye has recounted the dreadful night of the CHAN 2018 final and insists it’s a personal scar he’d carry.
Speaking on arrival from Morocco, Ajiboye who deputized for the injured Ikechukwu Ezenwa maintains that the experience was a sweet-bitter one.
Morocco pounded Nigeria 4-0 in the final to clinch the CHAN 2018 trophy.
“We thank God for everything and the stage we reached. we were happy because with the record we set. But, we weren’t happy because we lost gallantly [sic].”
“Personally, I wasn’t happy because it was the first time in my career that I conceded four goals in a tournament.”
