Cameroon were a tough test, perhaps the toughest yet for the Super Eagles, but striker Odion Ighalo says he expects the team’s quarter-final match to be even more difficult.
Ighalo grabbed a brace and set up Alex Iwobi for the match winner in the 3-2 victory over five times champions Cameroon.
The Nigerian team fought from a 2-1 deficit in the first-half to snatch a big win against the holders, but on July 10, Gernot Rohr must find a way to pick up his first win against South Africa – in three meetings.
Speaking after Saturday’s win Ighalo said, “We know from now it’s going to be very difficult, we’ll gonna go back, relax, go to Cairo Tomorrow (Sunday) and the preparation starts from there.”
