Italy U20 head coach, Carmine Nunziata has described Nigeria U20, the Flying Eagles, as a strong team, stating his players must be at their best to win Wednesday’s clash.

The Gil Azzurrini and the Flying Eagles will battle it out for round of 16 ticket when they meet for their second Group D fixture at the ongoing 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Nunziata’s charges defeated Brazil 3-2, while Nigeria beat Dominican Republic 2-1 in their opening games.

Speaking ahead of the game, Carmine Nunziata revealed why the Flying Eagles are a dangerous team.​

“A strong team, difficult to face because they have extremely physical players, endowed with great speed.

“It won’t be easy, an important match to continue our journey in this World Cup,” Nunziata told the Italian Football Federation official website.
