It Will Not Be Easy! Ilechukwu Plays down on Rangers NPFL Title Defense
99
Rangers Int’l Head Coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has acknowledged the difficulty of defending the NPFL title.
The Flying Antelopes secured their eighth NPFL title last season. However, Ilechukwu said there is need for a solid strategy to maintain their top position amidst roster changes.
He reveals his focus is presenting a competitive team for the upcoming season and the CAF Champions League.
“We know fully well that we have lost some players in the team and we want to make sure we present a strong team for the new season,” Ilechukwu told Rangers media.
Rangers resumed training on Wednesday, aiming to start the season positively.
“We are looking forward to having all the players back in camp while we start on a positive note so that the team will present a very strong team in the CAF Champions League,” Ilechukwu added.
“It’s not going to be easy because it looks like it was when we won the league last season. It’s going to be very difficult to stay at the top.”
