Eden Hazard joked that he does not need a replay to know that Hector Bellerin fouled him for Chelsea’s penalty in a 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Jack Wilshere scored his first Premier League goal since May 2015 to open the scoring for Arsenal, only for a penalty – won and converted by Hazard – and a close-range finish from Marcos Alonso to seemingly win it for the visitors.
However a stoppage-time strike from Bellerin, who had conceded the spot-kick, earned the Gunners a point.
When asked for their thoughts on the penalty award, Bellerin told Sky Sports Main Event: “He’s always very quick in the box. I saw the ball in the air and I tried to challenge for it.
“We both went for the ball at the same time and the referee thought it was a penalty, so we’ll have to see the replay.”
In response, Hazard joked: “We don’t need a replay, yes it’s a penalty.”
