Nigerian forward, Isaac Success made an instant impact at his new club, Al Wasl, by scoring the match-winning goal in their 2-1 victory over Al-Gharafa in the AFC Champions League at Al Bayt Stadium on Tuesday.
Success, who joined Al Wasl as a free agent on October 19 following his release from Udinese in August, came off the bench in the 76th minute to replace Issiaka Sidibe.
He marked his debut in style by scoring the decisive goal in stoppage time, securing a crucial away win for the UAE side.
The 28-year-old not only found the net but also contributed significantly during his brief time on the pitch.
Success registered one shot on target, which resulted in the winner, completed two out of three passes (67% accuracy), and recorded 11 touches. He also won three of five ground duels, demonstrating his impact and versatility.
Al Wasl currently sits 8th in the UAE Pro League with seven points from five matches.
Success celebrated his debut goal with a touching gesture by tucking the ball under his shirt, hinting that his wife is expecting their first child.
