Super Falcons attacker, Ini-Abasi Umotong was outstanding for Brighton and Hove Albion as she grabbed a goal and an assist in the Seagulls 5-0 victory against London Bees in a Women’s League Cup game on Wednesday.
Umotong who just recovered from a shoulder injury, returned back to Hope Powell’s starting eleven after sitting out of Albion’s 3-0 victory over Birmingham City last Sunday.
The Nigeria international stylishly teed up teammate Victoria Williams for Brighton second goal in the 53rd-minute before putting her name on the scorer sheet 21 minutes from time.
The goal was her second in the cup tournament this season, with the other strike coming in the 3-0 win versus Charlton in September.
Umotong who missed the last FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, will be targeting her first league goal for Brighton when they face Manchester United at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium on Sunday.
