Imama thanks Players for keeping Faith with him

Abia Warriors coach Imama Amapakabo has thanked the Management and players for giving him time to turn the Club’s fortunes around.

Imama started the season’s campaign on a disappointing note, losing the first four league games.

With the team languishing at the bottom of the table, the Coach was handed a three-match ultimatum to save his job or get the sack.

Soon after Abia Warriors turned the corner, grinding three wins from their last six matches.

Speaking on the team’s new form, Imama said his players are beginning to show their qualities.

“The players are showing character and we actually work hard for this, we believe that if we keep on organising ourselves the way we wanted to, I think we will be difficult to beat,” He said after the win over Warri Wolves.

“Tactically we’ve been working very hard and we just we want keep our shoulder down and we don’t want to be carried away.

“Our sad period came early we weather it, at some point some people said I will be the first coach to be sacked, I celebrated that but kudos to Abia Warriors management for believing in me.”

Despite the team’s position on the table, 17th after 11 matches, Imama believes the season could turn out great for Abia Warriors.
