Super Falcons coach, Thomas Dennerby has stated that he will only act as a Technical Director in Ivory Coast during the WAFU Cup.

Nigeria will take part in the maiden edition of the WAFU Women’s Cup which gets under way on Wednesday in Abidjan.

Dennerby admitted in a chat with Brila Media that he’s getting to know the team and expects to be fully ready to take charge after the WAFU Cup.

The Falcons open their campaign on Thursday against Benin Republic.

They will take on Senegal on Saturday and Togo next Monday, in their final group B games.
