Neymar has apologized to his PSG team-mates and Edinson Cavani, in particular, following his controversial start to life with the Ligue 1 giants.
The Brazil international left Barcelona for Paris last month in a world record €222m move and has set the French stage ablaze with five goals in seven appearances across all competitions for PSG.
As it is known, Neymar and Cavani have involved a dispute when PSG won a penalty kick in the match against Olympique Lyonnais last week. The dispute was clarified by Unai Emery and was claimed to have continued until the dressing room.
According to news reported by L’Equipe, in training sessions held on Wednesday (20/09/2017), Neymar has apologized openly to Cavani and also the other players. Is the captain of the team Thiago Silva who became the translator of Neymar’s statement to the other PSG foreign players.
It might be, with Neymar’s apologetic attitude that the atmosphere in the squad starts to come back liquid. This is indicated by the presence of Neymar and Cavani plus all players in the team’s reconciliation event shaped dinner together that was initiated by former Barcelona defender Dani Alves.
French news outlet L’Equipe now reports that Neymar has issued an apology to the club and his team-mates, stating:
“After the altercation that took place on Sunday between Neymar and Edinson Cavani, in the wake of the match against Lyon, the Brazilian apologized to the PSG players.
“Neymar wished to apologize, on Wednesday, to all his team-mates, after their training session.
“Thiago Silva served as an interpreter to his Brazilian compatriot, who regretted his attitude in the locker room.”
