Kano Pillars goalkeeper, Danladi Isa believes the arrival of Suraj Ayeleso at the club won’t limit his chances of more playing time with the Club but admits he must keep performing to keep his place in the team.
After the exodus of David Obiazo and Aliyu Mohammed who left the Club to join Plateau United and Kwara United respectively , Danladi Isa and new arrival Suraj Ayeleso are expected to battle for the starting belt at the club when the new Nigeria professional football league season commence next year.
While speaking shortly after he received the award for the best goalkeeper at the just concluded 2018 Ahlan cup pre-season tourneyin Kano, Danladi said he’s working very hard to earn the trust of the new gaffer Kabiru Balaria.
” I have been working very hard to win a place in the starting XI because my place is not on the bench neither is it with the spectators but in the starting XI so I have to work extra hard just to secure my place, he stated”.
The former Plateau United shot-stopper however praised Suraj Ayeleso arrival at the club but insists he won’t stop his dream of claiming the number one spot.
” I don’t feel threatened by the arrival of any goalkeeper as he is here to fight for what I’m also looking for but I will continue to train hard so as to put in my best just to impress the coaches, he concluded”.
Kano Pillars defeated Wikki Tourists as they successfully defended the Ahlan Cup they won last season.
